Breezy
Dental |
I had a crown that came loose. My regular dentist is closed on Friday, so I stopped in here (close to Bonefish Grill) for a no-insurance retiree estimate on having it re-cemented, if possible. The amount was reasonable, so we proceeded with an inspection. I have to admit this was the best dental appointment in years. First, even though the dentist had to do extra work to "do it right", he honored his original estimate. It pleased me that he put quality of work ahead of profits. Second, I really liked how he not only explained what he was doing, but also explained what he was planning to do in great detail and the reasoning used. He even changed his mind a couple of times, like he was thinking out loud and considering options as the exam progressed. I found his talking very reassuring and his actions lacking surprises. When done, it felt as the crown had never came out. If you are looking for a dentist for whatever reason, I suggest you give Dr. DiPiazza (he has heard the Dr. Pizza joke about a million times) a visit. I am positive you will be pleased with both his costs and work ethics. Dr.
DiPiazza, DDS P.S.

I found these guys when they were on McMullen Booth and was happy they moved into Safety Harbor. I pulled in one day with a broke shifter and their Service Tech said he could fix it. Within 10 minutes, he had the console all apart and made the repair. I was amazed at his speed because the car was a Vette, well known for being labor-intensive. Short story shorter, I had them order and replace the shifter cable because it might have come loose again. I have taken my car, plus family Jeeps, to them and have been totally satisfied with both the service and costs. Danny's

Kimmy
D's Family Resturant |
I discovered this place by asking where the blind employees at Freedom Scientific were ordering lunch about 15 years ago. Every time I am in the area, I try to find an excuse to eat here. Saturday morning breakfast is a winner. The food is good and very reasonably priced (read affordable). If you see Kim, you will know why her cooler has "Double" on the Kimmy's sign. Kim

Recently discovered (a co-worker's Dad started it!), their website does not do them justice. If you need stainless hardware and don't see it on the website, call them. A real plus is that they are open Saturday morning. Tim

Carpet |
Not a local company, but worth a special mention. Here in Von's own words... Hi Mike, I would like to recommend a company on the clubs webpage. The company is PontoonStuff, www.pontoonstuff.com out of Elkhart, IN 46516. As you may know, I had ordered some new carpeting for my pontoon boat and had Larry Prichett install it. Within 6 months, I noticed mold and mildew building up on the carpet. The carpet had a 3 year warranty. This marine grade carpet was not suppose to do that. When I contacted the company at 877-295-9522, they showed a lot concern over the problem. After sending photos of the defective carpet, they immediately offered to fix the problem. In fact, they suggested an upgrade of a 80 mil heavy duty non-skid vinyl material to replace the carpeting at no cost to me. I have already received a roll of the new material along with adhesive. Larrys company Mystic Marine Services will be installing the new flooring. Needless to say Im very pleased how this company handled this problem. I wish there were more companies like PontoonStuff that provided this high level of customer service. I thought any of our club members or anyone viewing our the clubs webpage, would benefit using this company. The company also has a Facebook page, http://www.facebook.com/PontoonStuff
Kindest Regards,

Plastics Supply |
I went looking for a source of thick plastic sheets, like Plexiglas, Seaboard, Lexan, and such. This company does no fabrication work, but they will cut material to smaller sizes as needed. They did not seem to mind I was not going to buy a table-top slab of 3/4" Seaboard, although I was really tempted (it would not fit in my trunk). Brett
